Approximately 80% of Christian young people walk away from their faith during the college years. Many Christian young people will not even acknowledge that they are a Christian after four years of college. Many college graduates never pursue a career in the field in which they spent much time and money being educated. Too many Christians are not prepared to live their life totally submitted to the will of God. As a result, very few ever reach the destiny that God has for them.

The average American family will make over $2 million in a working lifetime - and nothing is taught about how to manage this money in most high schools and colleges. The average college student graduates with over $40,000 of debt, with many having $75,000 of unpaid school expenses. Because of poor financial planning, many students will be forced to dropout of college before the completion of their schooling and still possess thousands of dollars of debt. 80% of graduating college seniors have credit card debt before they even have a job. According to CardTrak, Americans currently have over $800 billion in credit card debt. 90% of people in our culture buy things they cannot afford. Incurring debt early in life hinders people from pursuing their dream, promoting the gospel, and puts a strain on young relationships.

About half of first marriages, and up to 60% of second marriages, end in divorce. Of the marriages that do survive, only 20% are reported to be happy marriages. Over half of young people ages 18-32 believe that you should live together before you get married. However, the divorce rate is 50% higher for couples who cohabit before marriage. During the last 40 years, out of wedlock births have skyrocketed approximately 500% and the percentage of single-parent families has more than tripled. About one third of American children are born out of wedlock. Sexually transmitted disease rates in the United States are the highest in the developed world. One in five sexually active adults may be infected. 76% of girls have sex before age 18. 88% of young people that make a vow of chasity break it within two months.
Young people need more than traditional education. 15% of success can be attributed to education - 85% is attitude, perseverance, diligence, and vision. Financial advisors even say that winning at money is 80% behavior and only 20% knowledge.
